This animated feature starts out as a typical action film but quickly changes course about a third of the way through and becomes a highly enjoyable and cerebral story.The animation is pretty good, ableit a bit crude compared to new and similary themed films like Ghost in the Shell, and i was especially pleased that they actually put a lot of time and effort in the english dubbing (Kiefer Sutherland and Elizabeth Berkley of Showgirls fame(?) do the voice of the two main leads) that helps the film immensely.While a bit slower paced than the recent and slightly better Ghost in the Shell, this is still much better than similar anime and a worthwhile purchase/rental.rating:8
